Richard founded the Centre for Leadership Insight (CLI) in response to persistent leadership failures across various sectors with significant societal impacts.
With over 24 years of leadership experience, Richard's career spans the military, civil service, defence infrastructure, and government agencies. His international experience includes leadership roles in countries such as Haiti, Papua New Guinea, Iraq, and Afghanistan, providing him with a wealth of practical knowledge and insight.
Richard is a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) with the Association for Project Management (APM) and holds multiple qualifications in engineering, leadership, contract management and project management.
He earned a BSc (Hons) in Project Management and is currently a postgraduate researcher pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) at the University of Cumbria. His research focuses on leadership dynamics, generational influences, and developing effective leadership practices.
